Hear from some of our happy clients!

Learn more about our Home Care Barossa Valley wide.

We offer a broad range of home care services across Barossa Council and surrounds. If you’ve had an assessment from the government and have eligibility for a Home Care Package, feel free to give us a call today to discuss how we can help you at home.

A Home Care Package is a package of care and services designed to help older Australians to live independently in their own homes for as long as they can. To be eligible and qualify for a Home Care Package assessment, you must meet some needs and age requirements:

you need assistance with everyday tasks,
that you are 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people).
If you are eligible for a Home Care Package, you will receive a letter telling you what level of funding you will be receiving and how long you will need to wait for your Package.

This is a good time to start researching Providers like us. You must choose a Provider to manage your Package. This choice will impact the types of services you receive, how much you will pay out of your Package and the type of customer service you will receive.

There are a huge range of services that you could receive through your Package, so it’s important to do your research and discuss your needs with your chosen Provider, to make sure they are the right fit for you. Remember, if you aren’t happy with the service you receive or the choice you make, you are always able to switch Providers later.

The CHSP is another government program designed to support older Australians living in their own homes. It provides more entry level support for people with lower care needs. Here are how the two programs compare:

HCP: Designed for older Australians with higher care needs, providing a higher level of support like personal care, nursing, and allied health services. It offers more flexibility and choice in services.
CHSP: Offers basic support services like domestic assistance, personal care, social support, and transport for older Australians who need some help to stay independent and in their homes.
In essence, Home Care Packages are for those with more complex care needs, while the Commonwealth Home Support Programme offers more basic assistance.

Want more information about the different aged care programs and which you might be eligible for? Call our friendly team today on +61 460 797979. We are passionate about educating older Australians and their families about the aged care options available to support you to live longer at home.

We will guide you through the seamless transition process, helping you tailor a care solution based on your unique needs. We are a Home Care Package provider and aren’t an NDIS provider. However, if you have a disability and receive your Home Care Package, we will be able to support you with disability support services and other aged care services relevant to your care needs.
